Stacie Ree Stargazer was born from grief, from love, and from an unshakeable refusal to let one bright life disappear without meaning. It exists because of Stacie Annette Caswell White — a cousin, a Gemini, a stargazer, and the reason we look up.

Stacie Annette was born on June 20, 1990 in Houston, Texas — a true Gemini, full of light, warmth, and a spirit that drew people to her. She was raised by both her daddy, Dennis White, and her mother, Susan — and she was loved deeply by them both. But everyone who knew her knew she was a true daddy's girl. The bond between Stacie Annette and Dennis was something special, a relationship built on unwavering love and devotion. While she later developed a meaningful relationship with her biological father and those siblings, it was the home Dennis and Susan built for her that shaped who she was.

Those who knew her describe someone who could get along with anyone, who carried a warmth and personality that drew people in. She had a dream of becoming a nurse — a calling that reflected exactly who she was: someone who wanted to pour herself into caring for others. Music was her refuge and her joy. She loved going to concerts, and she had a voice she wasn't shy about using — singing was one of the ways she came most fully alive. She had a mother, Susan; five brothers through Dennis and Susan, and additional siblings on her biological father's side — a family that stretched wide with love. She also had a partner she loved and a stepson she helped raise. She had lived in both Texas and Louisiana — and everywhere she went, she left a lasting impression on the people around her.

"There will never be enough words to express my love for you. You are my sister. Always.  — Ree"

In the days before January 22, 2017, Stacie Annette had been seeking help. She reached out for support — and her doctors changed her medications just days before she died. She was 26 years old. That detail has never been forgotten by her family, and it has fueled a fight for change. Her mother, Susan, has carried that grief into advocacy — presenting to Louisiana state congressional leaders and lobbying for meaningful reforms in how mental health crises are handled, and how medication changes are managed for vulnerable patients. Susan also founded Stacie's Stargazers in her daughter's honor, organizing the memorial walks and community gatherings that keep her memory alive.

For her cousin Ree, the loss became a parallel mission. Stacie Ree Stargazer was founded to carry Stacie Annette's name into the digital spaces where people suffer in silence — to reach the ones who are searching for help at 3am, and to make sure they find it. The organization has raised money for funeral costs and supported individuals facing sudden, unexpected losses — because when life breaks open, no one should face it alone.

The name Stacie Ree Stargazer braids three lives together. Stacie Annette Caswell White, who is honored and remembered. Ree — her cousin and founder — whose nickname was given to her by her own mother, who passed in a car accident when Ree was just three years old. The family chose to call her Ree in that mother's honor, carrying her forward through a name. Stacie Annette knew that name well — she called her cousin Ree, and when she wanted to be playful and affectionate, she'd draw it out to Reetha, just to get a laugh. And Ree's mother, whose nickname lives on in this work — a thread of love passed from mother to daughter to mission. Three women. One name. An organization that refuses to let anyone be forgotten.

Lighting the sky
for struggling souls

Stacie Ree Stargazer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of mental health and the prevention of suicide. We believe that every person — no matter how dark their night — deserves to look up and find light. Through storytelling, community, and outreach, we spread positivity and hope across social media and beyond.

Founded in memory of Stacie Annette Caswell White, our work reaches hundreds of individuals in crisis and in recovery. We've organized walks to honor those lost to suicide, run digital outreach campaigns, and built a constellation of supporters who refuse to let anyone navigate the dark alone.

Everything we do — from our social media presence to our fashion line — carries a single purpose: to improve mental health awareness and break the stigma around suicide. Fashion isn't just what we wear; it's how we start conversations that save lives.

"The same stars that guided sailors home are shining for you tonight."

Three pillars of healing

🌙

Mental Health Promotion

We create and share content that normalizes conversations around mental health — breaking stigma one post, one story, one comment at a time. Everyone deserves to feel seen.

Suicide Prevention

Through crisis outreach, awareness campaigns, and community vigils, we work actively to prevent suicide and support those who have lost someone. No one should face that darkness alone.

🌌

Community & Connection

We've built a digital constellation of people who show up for each other — on Instagram, TikTok, and in person. Belonging is a form of medicine.

"You were born to be here. The night sky didn't arrange itself so beautifully by accident — and neither did you."
